Anonymous asked: Hi, I live in china and I was wondeing if you've seen tiny times 4? Cause i watched it and I'm hella confused about the ending???? like why was lin xiao wearing black and everyone else was wearing white??? why was she in a church dressed in all black????? who died???? what happened Neil????? also what is Neil's relation to Gu Li and her brother???? idk my chinese is vvvv bad and the translation sometimes didnt make sense so i didnt really get the movie
OKAY! This will contain spoilers. I watched it thrice (?) I think because when I watched it, it wasn’t released in theatres so I rewatched it to see if the final cut is different and then I forgot to watch the ending so I watched it another time (wtf)
Anyway, what I’m writing below comprises of what I believe happened and the things that other people have posted on the internet.
To answer the Neil’s and Gu Li/Gu Zhun relation, Neil is Gu Li’s younger cousin brother so he’s related to Gu Zhun as well. Gu Zhun is Gu Li’s younger brother (same father, different mother). In the book, Neil liked Gu Li’s assistant (Lan Jue) but he wasn’t a character in the film so they changed it to Neil liking Gu Zhun.
THE TRANSLATIONS WERE QUITE BAD WEREN’T THEY there were even grammatical errors like ??? the subtitles for the Tiny Times series got worse as the films went on.
THIS IS VERY LONG AND IS PRETTY CREEPY. Also, Guo Jingming writes tragedies. Guo Jingming writes tragedies. Guo Jingming writes tragedies. Important things need to be repeated thrice.
GUO JINGMING
WRITES
TRAGEDIES
GUO JINGMING
WRITES
TRAGEDIES
GUO JINGMING
WRITES
TRAGEDIES
If you still can’t tell what I’m trying to emphasize on lol. (he once said that when he writes he doesn’t think of an ending which is why most of them end up with people dying)
EDIT: I added in the ending for the novel version of the Tiny Times series.
EDIT 2: I added in something else I found about TT3 which I totally forgot about.
